Another Husband

In the bible, original sin in the garden of Eden was woman's. She tested the forbidden fruit, tempted Adam, and has been paying for it ever since. In the book of Genesis, the Lord said: I will greatly multiply thy sorrows and thy conception in sorrow, thou shall bring forth children, and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee(Genesis 3:16).
Could this be the justification for the position of Maria in the land of Sunshine? Has she accepted the above quotation as accurate description of her status.
