awesome, thought provoking!

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say that this was Farris's 1st attempt at fiction. There were a couple of minor spelling errors and a couple of missed quotes, but it didn't by any means take away to the quality of the work. It was well written and well researched. People who can call a simple spanking, "child abuse," they should avoid this book at all costs. If you are one of those kinds of people, try being a real parent! I found myself plugging for Peter Barron, along with Gwen Landis and her little girl, Casey. If anyone is offended by this work of Mr. Farris, I have some gentle advice, and this is gentle for myself. BOO-HOO-HOO!! Grow up and get a life. My Bible says that if you refuse to discipline a child, then you don't love them. Either you believe that, or you don't. But whether you do it with your mouth, or if you shake your head at what Farris has had the guts to say, nobody calls my God and my Jesus a liar!!! And those who do, by making loser remarks such as, "Don't tell ME how to raise MY kids," let me tell you right now, if you belong to Him, Jesus will. Jesus will tell us how to raise our children. They belong to Him. Now if anyone has any arguments about my statement, please feel free to e-mail me anytime! And if that doesn't suffice, get a real life! The real matter is this. Praise God for Michael Farris and for doing what is right! We need more people like him in this world, because we have too many non-educated sissies who are live in mom and dad's pocket, they are afraid of going against what our all popular society might say and last but certainly not least, these people are afraid of being thrown in jail because they don't rule their own home and are afraid of hurting their babies. A good crack in the tail never hurt anyone, and anyone who can call that child abuse is nothing but a coward! I look forward to EVERYTHING Michael Farris has out! Keep up the good work, brother, you give Christians a name well worth living for, a cause worth fighting for, and I can say that it is well worth living for Jesus Christ! AMEN!

Anonymous Tip is scary

When the child abuse industry goes amok, innocent parents & children are violated & their privacy invaded by self-serving bureaucrats with big egos & expedient ethics. THIS IS A GRIPPER! From the first page on you're getting deeper & faster into the undertow an anonymous tip can generate. You watch as a youthful & award-winning CPS investigator assails a citizen in her own home & , when Constitutional concerns are raised, returns with a vengeance. One of the protagonists is a born-again Christian & this is also about their practices, their churches, their struggles & their prayers. I found it refreshing, interesting & wholly acceptable if, at times, a trifle awkward. Life is an awkward adventure, isn't it? END

Don't pass this one by!

Having read many articles by Michael Farris I was anxious to read this novel. I was NOT in the least bit disappointed. This is a gripping tale that keeps you bound until the end. I highly recommended that you read it and pass it on and tell that person to pass it on as well. People need to be informed about how the government and it's agencies can turn situations around to their benefit. Michael Farris's work as a lawyer who is trying to protect the traditional family has surely put him in many similar circumstances as those portrayed in "Anonymus Tip". This tells me that this book is an acurate portrayal of what's really going on. I'm looking forward to reading his next work.

Wonderful novel about parental rights

"Anonymous Tip" blends many subjects into an intriguing and compelling story line that will keep you tied to this book until you finish it. A single mother is anonymously accused of abusing her daughter by spanking her. The tip leads to an investigation by child welfare workers who intrude into the home and strip search the little girl as her mother protests. The mother's protests 'antagonize' the workers who scheme to build a case to remove the child from her mom. A number of sub-plots are woven into the story including a Christian lawyer with strong convictions, the need for accountability among friends, fraudulent fund raising efforts, concerns over divorced Christians, and a love story. The story is captivating and one comes away with a strong sense of concern about the ability of the state to come between loving parents and their children. Further, the book leaves the reader with a good feeling as all the subplots are tied together. A good novel from a very knowledgable writer.
