Think before you Do something

A Review by JulissaAnnie's Baby is about a girl named Annie. She loves to be a normal teen. She loves soccer, her mom, and her friends. Until, she met Danny. That's when everything changed. He is a teen, just a bit older than her. She thinks she falls in love right away. But that's not exactly what happened. Annie gives up everything for him. And all he is doing is making her life impossible for her to live. He makes her do things she doesn't want to do. And Danny ends up raping her. After a while she finds out she is pregnant.I don't understand why Annie put up with all that stuff Danny did. When Danny did something horribly bad Annie would be the one ending up on her knees begging for forgiveness. When I was reading this I thought to myself that if any girl was treated like the way Danny treated Annie they would have left in a split second. But as I can see that is not the case. But when I read this book it made me see what girls would do just to feel loved. But they shouldn't do stuff like that. They should always remember that you have your family.But overall I really loved this book. It shows that you should always think before you do something. And if you don't, then expect the worst of the worst consequences. I would recommend this book to all teens.

Excellent Book

I read this book because I wanted to know what it was it like being a preganant teenager. I know I'll never experience teen pregnancy because of my sexuality. It was very sad and I thought that was so wrong how Danny treated her. Even though this book was great and really taught me about teen pregnancy there are a couple of disagreements I have. First, I thought Annie should have told her mother that Danny raped her. Second, I thought she should have gave more love to her baby although she probably had a lot of love deep down inside. I thought she could have expressed it more. But that is probably just me and I've never been a pregnant teenager. But I do understand how she feels because it is very hard raising a baby when you're boyfriend doesn't care at all and people make fun of you and think you have a bad reputation. But in the end I thought it was right what she did and I agree with her on that. Even thought the book made me cry when I was reading it, the book did have a wonderful ending. I do give this book 5 stars and I think anyone who thinks of doing it or makes fun of teen pregnancy should definatley no word read this book.

An awsome book!

I love Beatrice Sparks' books!And I disagree that her, (Annie)apologizing in her diary for cussing made it sound fake. I mean that may be a little wierd, but that doesn't make the diary fake. It said in the book that she was Catholic, and went to that camp w/ her friends. So mabye she just felt that it was wrong. I also read It happened to Nancy, and it was also a great book. I highly reccomend it. And I think both of those books could help teenagers get rid of that "it'll never happen to me" view of things.

Annie's Baby

Annie's Baby is a wonderful example of a 14 year old girl who became pregnant. It shares her deepest agony and pain going on in her life through diary entries. She was a normal teenage girl, leading a normal teenage life, with normal teenage friends, until the day she met Danny. He was wonderful to her, everything that a young lady would like. He fooled her shamelessly, tricking her into loving him and not being able to live without him. This story tells in great detail the ways she fought out her life through stress and writing. I recommend this book to any teenagers, especially those who might be possibly going through this trauma. You will appreciate it greatly.

A completely moving book

In this book Annie, a naive 14 year old, describes her painful realationship with her boyfriend, her unexpected pregnancy, and the birth of her child. Annie pours the truth into her diary. Although I am not(and have never been)as naive as Annie is, this book opened my eyes to the facts about abusive relationships. Annie struggles over the fact that premarital sex is against her values. She loves Danny though and keeps coming back to him, even though he raped her, even though he beats her.When Annie discovers she is pregnant, it makes her situation go from bad to worse. Unable to face the fact for months, Annie does everything posible to keep from seeing her boyfriend. When she gets up the guts to tell her boyfriend, she is faced with the horrible truth:he never loved her at all. Annie's mother supports her dission to have her baby. But when Lil'Annie is born, Annie discovers how hard a baby is. She asks her self this question:Can she really raise her baby? This is an exellent book, every girl age 10 and up should read it!
