What was life like in 1833 and on a Wagon train?

This a great book and true story. It is better than American girl. Ann is from 1833-1897.There are 6 books in this series.I have read 3 so far. Ann begins in New York State. Her family has a big and prosperous farm but her dad wants to move to southern , Wisconsin. So they sell everything and go on a wagon train mainly following the great lakes. They get To Wisconsin and a young fellow , a neighbor helps ann's dad farm. Four years after moving ann's dad is dead.I am guessing of a heart attack.I have read a lot of these pioneer wagon train books and a lot of people fall over dead with exhaustion. Ann marries the farm helper boy at age 16 she is and he is 17.The average white person lived to be the forties and non white age 32 years old.It was not a long life span and life was hard and unpredictable. I love this book. These people are Christians but I felt sorry for their difficult lives.
