FIRR-Kids! Review

Animal lovers unite! A very simple, yet innovative concept results in a beautiful book of animal photography. The book contains up close facial photos of twenty-four animals. A full two page display showcases twenty-one photos for each animal: camels, seals, polar bears, and so on. A short paragraph of information is included on each animal, but the real focus is definitely on the photos. The introduction states the purpose is for kids to practice observation, noting similarities and differences among the animal faces. The photo layout really forces you to take a closer look at each species and take note of their characteristics. Until seeing the photos compiled this way, you don't realize how completely different one hippo's features can look from the next. If you have an admirer of all things furry, absolutely give this book a try. If your child is already intrigued by animals, this should really capture their attention. The presentation definitely promotes observation and discussion, just as the author intended. This book presents a terrific opportunity to interact with your child, and nothing beats hearing those unique discoveries.

A wonderful book anyone can enjoy!

I got this book for my 2 year old son because he loves to name animals, especially elephants and giraffes. But when I got the book in the mail, I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. The faces of these animals are all so different yet the book points out how similar they can be. As a lover of photography, I often take pictures of animals at the zoo. But now I go to take close-up shots of any faces I can get! Thanks to the book, my son can now identify zebras, gorillas, hippos, and camels and call them by their names. Not bad for 2 years old, I think!

world's most amazing picture book

Animal Faces, a children's book for all ages, opens the reader's eyes to the power of observation. The authors' love of animals is evident and is wonderfully shared with the audience. A book to "see" over and over again
