Funny and real!

Ten-year-old Angel's mother has gone away on a trip, so she and her little brother Rags have been left with their neighbor Alice. But the first day, Alice has an accident that lands her in the hospital. Rather than risk upsetting her with the news that they weren't able to contact another neighbor, Angel lies that they do, in fact, have someone staying with them. Angel's first major problem is what to do with four-year-old Rags. Ending up with no choice other than to take him to school with her, Angel has to pay the price when a bored Rags stirs up trouble in the playground. Then, nighttime is frightening when the siblings hear strange noises in the dark, and are forced to deal with it themselves. And who's going to cook, clean and do laundry? While Angel was happy to see her mother finally get a chance to go on vacation, she's never been so thrilled to have her home again...

A book perfectly meant for young readers.

I read ''Angel in Charge'' to my 7 year old sister.She thought it was okay,I guess.It wasn't the best book I ever read,but for a young age group,well I guess it's okay for them.Since it DOESN'T have hard words or a complicated plot it would be a good chapter book for 9 year olds and up to start reading by themselves.
