Angel Billy is nine short stories comprising the Avenging Angel Series. The stories feature Officer Danny Watson and Detective Sergeant Theodore Storm, Medical Examiner, Shelby Matern, City Maintenance Man, John Stowe, (known as Norton) and several more engaging characters in a small unnamed city. As Norton says, "The angel's ways are not gentle." It seems the small city has its own guardian angel, who comes unbidden to rock evil back to its origins. Those who come to Billy's attention do not generally live to complain, but there are exceptions. Do we know what passes between the angel and his assignments (nice way of saying victims)? We have to surmise, using our intelligence guided by those things that have informed our lives to this point. Right and wrong are not easily, if ever, washed away.
