easy interesting non fiction biography for elementary readers

as a 9 & 10 year old 4th grader, my daughter's school reading contract required her to read a certain # of fiction & non fiction bks @ her specific reading level, & then successfully pass Accelerated Reader (AR) tests for vocabulary & content; most girls are naturally more interested in reading fiction than non fiction, which is the case w/my daughter; the libraries @ both elementary schools that my daughter attended PreK - 4th grade had much wider selections of fiction than non fiction, making it harder to find non fiction of interest for my daughter to read; biographies are a natural choice, but, besides that, offerings tend to be mostly dry scientific & nature topics; I found this bk whilst hunting for titles to meet requirements wo/putting us both to sleep, as she generally read each non fiction title twice, including once out loud to me, before taking AR tests!: Andrew Carnegie is not one of the biographies you see over & over in series bks for kids, & it was of particular interest because it was general American community & period history, as well as related to libraries, which interest my daughter, due to her love of reading; it is the only one in its series we have read, but it was enjoyable & informative, rather than boring
