Book is better than its average rating reflects

This book is really the first two Georgia Nicolson diaries (Angus, Thongs and Full-frontal Snogging and On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend Of a Sex God) packaged together in one volume. I, for one, like the convenience, since I planned to buy the whole set. This book has been rated unfairly by people who were confused. If you look at the average stars for the two books contained in this edition, you'll see that they average 4.5 stars. That means people really like the stories. Now, about the stories. I love anything having to do with England, so I wanted to read all these Georgia Nicolson books. I loved reading all the British terms and slang, though it was sometimes hard to tell what was legitimate British slang and what was made up by title heroine, Georgia Nicolson. One thing I did not like at all, though, was the way Georgia added "osity" to practically every-other word (i.e. sophisticosity, maturosity). That was getting on my last nerve. But there were a lot of laughs in this book for teens and adults alike. One review I read said Georgia was self-centered. That's true, but it's that exaggerated self-centeredness that makes it funny. The way Georgia and her best friend, Jas, talk to each other without really listening to each other is hilarious. They're both just pretending to listen until they can talk about themselves again. And Georgia is 14 years old. All teenagers are a bit self-absorbed. I look forward to reading the rest of the series and seeing if Georgia matures a bit. The books are, for the most part, pretty wholesome, and I'd recommend them for girls 12 and up.

look around

i haven't read this book but i just want to say to the other people that they probably would have found out that this book was just a combo of the other two if they just look around. b/c on Louise Rennison's Official Site it clearly states that this book is book one and two in a different wraper. So it's their own falt that they got "cheated" or anything.

gordy!!!!!

this is the best!(and longest) book so far in the series. georgia misses robbie, still has the horn for dave & meets her new double cool with knobs sex god, masimo. she gets to keep one of angus's kittens, who is crosseyed. she snogs dave, even though he's just her horn adviser, and she is going to follow masimo to america. i got this book the day it came out, and had it preordered since february. i finished it in 2 hours & loved it.

Très très amusant, Fabbity Fab, and such....

This is most definetly the best book since "Angus, thongs..." (but of course you still need to read 2,3, and 4 to keep up with the plot) and possibly the best book yet in the series. This is one of the few books that has actually made me laugh right out loud. It seemed like quite a while from the time I found this title listed on the pre-sell list and the time that it was actually released, but it was most definetly worth the wait. As I realized my reading had dwindled down to less than 100 pages I was torn between finishing it (because I really wanted to know what happened) or pacing myself because I knew I'd be sad when it was over. lol. There will be another book in the series right? I can hardly wait 'til it comes out as this book kind of left an open ending. This book was "vair vair" excellent!

still fab after 5 books

Georgia Nicolson is depressed after Robbie leaving for kiwi-a-gogo land, and her friends aren't very comforting. Things get worse when dave the laugh gets a girlfriend after leading her on. his explanation is that he's still got the general horn, so he and georgia sort of decide to be just friends(with benefits of course!) And she doesn't mind, because she has found a replacement sex god in the form of Masimo, the new lead singer of the Stiff Dylans. Georgia finds a book in her mother's room that tells how to make any man fall in love with you, and she is determined to put her new-found skills to use. This book had just as many laughs as the last ones, if not more. it is really much better than nuddy pants, and is just as good, if not better than sex god and nunga nungas. Have fun!
