R. Karl Largent is a vastly under-rated horror author and this book proves it. Excellent prose, smooth with great dialog and non-stop action. This book started me as a lifelong fan of his horror material, and alogn with The Witch of Sixkill is one of his very best. Highly recommended.
Excellent, detailed horror novel

This is one of the best books L. Karl Largent wrote. It deals with ancient evil which travelled from Asia and settled in the Artic region and every often destroys whole communities where human beings live. One person travels to the find what this evil is. This book is very scary, very well written. It has a very cold and creepy atmosphere about it, the story flows very well, characters are great and the ending is very good. All-in-all, a very well written horror novel for those that appreciate good and not commercial horror.
The scariest book I have ever read.

This is a story of brutal mutilations that happen every 11 years in small Canadian towns- going back to the 1800's. A cop tries to figure out the pattern and predict when and where the next killings will begin. This is one SCARY book- don't read when alone. I lent it to my brother's girlfriend to take on a plane and she said she was so frightened, she screamed out loud. This is not a gory book, just riveting with suspense.
