It is a classic book with a collection of photographs from two special exhibits: Ancient Images on Stone and Shamans’ Songs: Rock Art of Western America more than forty years ago. Among the pages were special topic written by expert authority in comment of different subjects such as rock art, Native American’s view on rock art, Chumash rock art, shaman rock art major rock art site of lack Canyon. UCLA Rock Art Archive is an important organization on rock art. This book is a good orientation and reference on this subject.
