Jungian and Archeological fiction

This is an excellent and highly complex book. Anyone familiar with Jungian Psychology, Paganism and ancient mediterranean archaeology and history, will find this a fascinating read! Once again Holdstock weaves Psychology and history into a marvelous tapestry. However - if you have no knowledge of Jungian Psychology and know nothing about the ancient mediterranean or Paganism, you just might not "get" this book.

Exellent writing...

...but very different from any other books that I have written, which is quite a few. This is a true Robert Holdstock Book, so if you truely enjoy his kind of weird writing, then this is one book not to miss...I won't tell you of the plots in it, only that it circles about subjects such as dreams, and dream worlds, and what can be more strange and exciting to read about. Enjoy it greatly!!

Ancient Echoes is both entertaining and thought provoking.

Expect to do some heavy thinking when reading any novel by Robert Holdstock. A little bit of familiarity with Jungian dream psychology also helps. But don't be put off! "Ancient Echoes," like Holdstock's earlier fantasy "Mythago Wood", is an exciting adventure tale which questions the reality of all our worlds.
