Beautifully Illustrated, Wonderful Detail

Just enough information for those in search of a better understanding of the human body. Sections of the book are broken down into the different organ systems, their many functions and processes. Several implications are described and detailed with full color graphics. I especially appreciate the book's symptoms table, which allows you to identify symptom characteristics, associated symptoms, other relevant factors, and advises on possible causes and actions. This book has a sturdy structure that will stand up to the test of time. It is constucted of high quality paper, cardstock, and has a short thick stature. A must have reference for those in the health industry or interested in anatomy.

Great Book!

I am in a surg-tech program right now and this book has wonderful pictures that are almost true to life. It will be very helpful to anyone who needs any sort of anatomy classes!

Worth every penny and then some

While this book will not get you through an Anatomy & Physiology class by itself, as a companion, it does an amazing job at summarizing and explaining complicated ideas in a way any lay person could understand. The illustrations are the best I have ever seen, easily surpassing my $135 A & P textbook. I wish I bought this book back then but I find it is equally useful now, as a refresher and reference for more advanced classes. Equally at home in a professional's office or lay person's home, the symptoms table in the end of the book is also a nice reference.
