For Young and Not-So-Young!

I read this I believe about 10-12 years ago,and although at that time, I was approaching my late thirties, I loved it! I found it laugh-out-loud funny at times, really! The way Anastasia "talks" throughout the story is riotous! She is very witty, and sharp. Her impressions, and observations of those around her are entertaining, at the very least! She is like a miniature adult,as is her little brother Sam.I especially enjoyed Gertrude Stein, and the reference to Art Garfunkel! What a HOOT! I think you will really enjoy this book...The characters, the humor, the "dramas" that beset this utterly charming young girl will make you want more!

Such a sweet story

This is one of those books that should win a Newbury Award Medal because of the character development. The friendship that Anastasia develops with the neighbor lady is wonderful, as well as Sam, but I will save that surprise for when you read the book. It has another one of Lois Lowry's beloved twists of plot that surprises you. Plus, it has all these great jokes about what suburbs are supposedly like. If you like Anastasia, you MUST pick up this one.

Anastasia Again Book Reiview

Anastasia Again is about a girl that is in the 6th grade and moves to the suburbs. She moves because her apartment is getting too small since her mom is a painter and needs a studio and her dad is a writer and needs bookshelves. Anastasia is 12 and her brother Sam is still a baby. Her father Mr. Krupnik asks what everybody wants in their new house. Anastasia said, "how about a tower for my bedroom". She thought if she asked for something so outrageous she would not have to leave her home and her friends. To Anastasia's surprise, one day they went out to look at the new house and there was a tower on it where Anastasia's room was going to be. They moved in and Sam saw a lady next door and said that she looks like a witch. Anastasia is curious of what Sam saw because she did not believe him. She goes over to the neighbor's house to see if she really does look like a witch. Sam wants to go so they go over there with the excuse to get a pitcher cause their mom wants to make ice tea. So they go over but Sam hid behind a bush at the front door. You'll have to read the book to see what happens next.

I take this book everywhere I go!

Anastasia Again is about a young girl named Anastasia and she is having some problems. Her parents want to move to the suburbs but she says that she doesn't want to move because all the articles say bad things about the suburbs. I really like this book. I read the first few pages and I love it. Everywhere I go I take it with me. Lois Lowry is a great writer. I think that what Lois Lowry is trying to say is that things that seem bad sometimes come out being good.

This and all the other Anastasia books were great.

I loved this book.It was funny, serious, and just down-right good.Girls who are ages 10-12 would find this book especially good.Anastasia goes through most of all the same situations that almost all other pre-teenage girls go through.I enjoyed this book a lot,and I think that all girls should read it.Thank you.
