This is a classical book on heat conduction that has served the heat transfer community for well three decades. It is well written and describes the analytical techniques in a lucid style with numerous examples. As a heat transfer professor myself for forty years, I have always kept the book handy on my desk for reference. The comprehensive problems at the end of the book provide ideas for term long research projects for graduate students. The book is an absolute delight to read and definitely a worthwhile investment. The student can learn the classical analytical techniques of solving conduction heat transfer probems from this text alone; no supplements or intructor are required.
