Great book. Be aware this is a reprint of a 1999 issue

This was my first Nina Bangs. I read it when it was released in 1999 and have been reading the series since then. It has everything a paranormal romance should have. A great leading lady and very masculine man. Throw in a lot of humor with the chaos demon Ganymede and his tendency to see how much trouble he can make and you have a good story to keep you interested. The one thing I don't like is the way publishers design a new cover or rename a previously published book. More than once I've gotten a book that I've read years ago and then paid for it twice thinking it's a new book in the series. Since this has nothing to do with the story I did not take away any stars on the rating.

An original tale with an unexpected ending

This is my first Nina Bangs book, and I am hooked. I always, ALWAYS have some complaint about a book, but not this time. It's a great story told well, and that's what I look for. I'm not usually a fan of time travel, but the characters make the story work. The main characters are the kind you enjoy getting to know (and, occasionally, getting mad at) and Ganymede is awesome! Also, I love that every detail means something. Every character is there for a reason, and it all comes together in the end.

Dead Bang on Target!

I read Nina Bangs books out of order of their release, but does not matter, she is one of the freshest voice with TT to come along in Romance in a Decade. I just finished her newest release devilishly wicked vampire romance "Master of Ecstasy", which shows her voice and style has developed more - to be expected - this her first book showed the diamond in the rough. In this book she had time-travelling lovers - but both from different times (a theme she echoed in the vampire book with many of the same characters like Ganymede and Sugar Sparkle at the core of them.). He is from the 1700's and she is from the year 2300. The come together in the year 2000, sort of neutral ground so to speak.Ganymede, is a mischief-maker, actually a misery maker. He loves to bring people together just to make them fall in love, then he sets about to destroy their lives. Sigh, such is the life of a mischief-maker! The two lovers come together under mistaken impressions: he thinks he's been sent to atone for his sins by teaching the ultimate virgin the joys of lovemaking, while she believes she has been sent to take him back as a love slave to save mankind in the future. Talk about culture clash! It's wickedly funny, bright and a breath of fresh air. So if you are snatching up "Master of Ecstasy" and have not read this, you might want to grab it as well, since it's in the same series.

Stunning Debut - a five!

This is my favorite type of TT where both lovers travel through time. This one's a bit different as he's from the year 1700 and she's from the year 2300 and they find themselves together in bed in the year 2000. This lends itself to all kinds of humor. Not only that but Leith is a Campbell, Four two N (Fortune) is a MacDonald. If you know anything about the Glencoe Massacre (1692) you know the two don't mix. Ah but that's all part of cosmic trouble maker Ganymede's utimate plan to take the two most incompatible people of all time fall in love only to break their hearts by ripping them apart as they realize the stunning news. She thinks she's been sent to take him back as a love slave to save humanity, he thinks he's been sent to atone for his sins by teaching the ultimate virgin the joys of lovemaking. He's a warrior, she's used to bland surroundings and tame emotions. Throw in a cabbie name Blade, his knife throwing wife, a motorcycle gang, a cat that follows them everywhere and an Elvis loving ice cream man and you've got a hilarious tale.Rivetting, romantic, real! This one's a five in my book. I highly recommend this read.

Adorable!

I really enjoyed this book. It was light hearted, funny and hard to put down. I hope Nina Bangs will write another book.
