A superb text and reference

This superbly written book is, as far as I am concerned, the best text for introducing engineers and physics students to applied probability. The book is fairly complete in that it covers the most important applications of elementary probability that one encounters in day-to-day engineering work. The investment that the students make in purchasing this book pays further dividends during their professional careers since it also serves as a great reference.
