An Encounter in Times of Corona

A surreal sort of photographic storybook depicting an excerpt of our contemporary pandemic times. Photographs and accompanying text tell of the author's encounter with a 92-year-old woman on her way to receive the Corona vaccine. Lo-fi photography of Berlin's Messe Nord Station and convention center grounds where the vaccination center is located set the scenery for two women meeting and sharing a moment.

Talissa Mehringer is a German/Mexican photographer and multimedia artist currently based in Berlin.
Her photography work is cinematic in that the pages of her books unfold frame by frame weaving visual narratives through urban spaces and environments.
