Courageous, comprehensive

Certain issues cannot be investigated too early in one's experience. Bernard Sarachek thought for many years about the biggest questions a human being can ever face. For him to confirm his conclusions about our ultimate end, at the end of his own life, is a courageous act of compassion. As in all things he undertook, this study is comprehensive. As was true to his character, it is fearlessly honest. There are many books out there on "what it all means". This one is valuable because it is succinct, thought-provoking, and even-handed. Bernard Sarachek had no agenda other than to make sense of what it means to be alive. This book is his last, deepest, most insightful message, his timely gift to those of us who remain. Highly recommended for those who care about why we are here.
