Excellent

Not only does this book have some very nice patterns but it has wonderful detailed patterns for fun and different fringe. Not all books give you such detail for fringe and I really love this.

Beading marvellous

Beautiful designs but not for the novice. Fascinated by the Merlin design. Just need the courage to try it!

Great book for beginners!

I just recently started the art of beading (2 weeks ago). I had surfed the web to find out more about this craft and discovered Barbara Elbe's books. Amulet Obsession is the first bead book I have purchased & I am almosty finished with creating one of her designs. This is a great book for beginners. I had no trouble understanding her instructions (which are well written) and her graphs are easy to follow. This has been my first experinece with beading and it has been a great one. I plan to purchase Barabara's other books as well.

fantastic images and beautiful straps and fringe

These beaded purses are gorgeous and not as hard to make as they look. Each chapter has detailed instructions on the weave used (brick, square, vertical brick etc.) followed by several patterns. I fell in love with her twisted fringe and ladder straps and highly recommend this book.

Great new graphed diagrams

I just received my book and there are some really detailed diagrams in it. Barbara has graphs of brick stitch and square stitch, and has included instructions for both. One idea that she has incorporated, is that she tells you what colors to use to complete each amulet necklace and takes the guessing out of what colors to use.
