Book Overview

Take an object-oriented approach when learning the next generation of Visual Basic. Best-selling author, Micheal Ekedahl explores the .NET platform, discussing Visual Basic as an object-oriented, data-driven language. Tackling the numerous changes and enhancements to the .Net framework, this book is designed for individuals with little or no programming background and introduces sound programming techniques through hands-on exercises and end-of-chapter case problems. It offers real-world MIS and business-related examples to help prepare readers for their first job experience using Visual Basic. NET. This description may be from another edition of this product.

The basics of .NET environment are explained well in detail before the actual programming is started and that leaves quite a bit of margin for the readers to fully understand the environment before wetting their hands with code. Topics such as ADO.NET...
