A FABLE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

A wonderful book teaching diversity with a marvelous little story. One of the best books of this type I've ever seen. I strongly recommend this as a standard, must have, children's book.

We love it!

As a mother of four young children, I read many childrens books. I love it when I come accross a book that I enjoy as well as my children do. The pictures are colorful and interesting, the story is entertaining and important. Acceptance of our differences is a critical lesson that needs to be understood by people of all ages. This book helps children understand diversity in a fun way.

"Simply, a must-have book for every family library!"

Not only does "Ambrosia" contain fundamental values and lessons, it is a charming read with an entertaining flow accompanied by bright and delightful illustrations. I gave this book as a present to one of my friends whose kid attends a prestigious private school where a number of Hollywood's young starlets' children attend. My friend's son shared the book with his class and teachers. Shortly thereafter sharing the book with his class, the book was debuted in ALL the classes, and ultimately, the entire school awarded and acknowledged "Ambrosia" as the "Book Of The Year". Quite a testament.

Important Lessons

Important lessons can be learned from this book. In today's society, people sometimes take diversity and tolerance for granted. It is important that we instill these virtues within our youth in order to preserve culture and promote peace. Ambrosia teaches children (and even adults) to embrace our differences and appreciate what lies beneath the color of our skin. Everyone I've shared this book with reads it with a smile upon their face and an understanding of how positive interaction between different cultures can enrich our society.

" What truly matters comes from within"

And so it goes, from out of nowhere comes a coconut, and suddenly the fruit and produce isle of your local grocery store is turned upside down! Where the real deal of the day isn't the discounted price of the produce but the lesson that we learn. It's a rollicking 'lil' tumble through the eyes of, " Tangelos Tangoing" ,Figs Jigging and Blue Berries that blush Blue as they somewhat skeptically welcome a new member to their community. Dan does a terrific job traversing the issues of race and acceptance in a senstive and delightful way that can help all young families integrate the idea, although we may appear and act differently then others we're actually all quite the same. Nichole also presents very vibrant and animated illustrations that will keep the young ones coming back again and again. I believe that this book would be a great addition to any classroom and also fit in rather well in any Wegmans produce section.
