Blue has a very special playdate visitor -- it's the alphabet! Blue learns all about the ABCs: reading, writing, and spelling! This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is a book version of the story Alphabet Power from the show "Blue's Room." It's nothing to shout about compared to what was shown on TV, but it's still a fairly good book. In this story, the entire alphabet comes over to Blue's Room for a playdate. There's all sorts of things to be done with the alphabet --- reading, writing and spelling! Blue even plays fun games with the Doodle Board in which letters transform into animals. There's also a game of Polka Dot's Puzzles for a special mystery word involving the alphabet. Sometimes a book can be better than what's shown on television, but in this case, the medium is really limiting. In the television version, there was an entire separate book story within the show itself. And, of course, you can't hear the songs from the show. Still, if you or your kids like "Blue's Room" on television, then you'll probably like this book well enough. If, however, the new puppet version of Blue holds no appeal to you or your kids, then you'll obviously want to pass on this, just like the TV show.
