The children role-play the dialogue, answer simple questions and are encouraged to offer their ideas through drawing or printing. At the end of each chapter George and Elizabeth introduce the next lesson by talking about what they are going to do next.Teacher information about the animals is provided plus suggestions for presenting the lessons. These include Oral Questions and page references for the Workbook and Teacher's Guide. The Student Reader has 31 colorful pages.
