Onc again , unable to put down!

I first became familiar with Penny Vincenzi in the London airport. I grabbed two of her books because the front looked interesting. Since then I have bought everything she has written, even going so far as to have them picked up for me there by an exchange student. I love, love all her books and hate to come to the end of them. I love that they are thick and she writes in detail aout all her characters. Do not pass up any and all she writes.

Not as good as her other books

I think Penny Vincenzi is a wonderful writer, who develops rich characters and unexpected, exciting plots. This book was good but not as great as Penny's other books. I would have liked a "closure" of some sort. Although of course I can use my imagination and come up with my own ending - I would have prefered for the author to write one.

An ending would have been nice

This is the fifth book by Penny Vincenzi I have read-- The Spoils of Time Trilogy, and Sheer Abandon, and now, Another Woman. Her stories are all very involved with loads of characters, and make good reading. However, when I came to the last page of Another Woman, I thought maybe some pages were missing-- the pages that would have wrapped up the story, solved the mystery, and made sense of my spending many hours reading this 551 page book. All that reading, and nothing solved, nothing revealed, we don't find out what happened to the missing sister, no ending. It just stops. I feel very cheated-- I had been reading expectantly, anxious to find how it all turns out, and --- it doen't turn out at all. This book has NO ENDING. It just stops, leaving everything up in the air. I am giving it four stars because for 550 pages I enjoyed it- waiting for the exciting climax, the promise that never came. What a disappointment.

A Delightful Read

This story is about this perfect couple, Octavia and Tom Flemming who have a marriage made in heaven. Society looks up to this attractive and golden couple; in fact everyone does. Well heeled they both are and in prominent positions to boot. But that's until the cookie crumbles and Tom begins to have a torrid and steamy affair, putting his wife through so much embarassment, sickness and paranoia, she can hardly bear to leave the house. And look who he is having the affair with? There is betrayal amongst friends and this obviously affects the couple's professional lives interferring with their wealthy status . This book is a stunner with its variety of characters.....especially the ladies....some plain though interesting all the same, while others are attractive and rather hoity toity. The big question however is will this marriaage between this golden couple survive??? Another good one from Penny Vincenzi....go for it. You love it and won't be satisfied until you've found out whodunnit.
