Some days in Jonah's shoes

Jonah is a third grader who does things that aren't too smart. Like leaving silly putty in his pocket and it goes through the wash. He also does things way too slow. He has really good ideas but no one will listen to him. Also there is a mean kid. Luckily, it turns out that the mean kid is mean because he is trying to be friends but doesn't know how. Sometimes he jumps out from behind bushes and down from the tops of trees. His name is Granville. Well, one day Jonah's neighbor friend Mr. Rosetti is missing and no one knows where he is. Jonah is the only one who knows something is wrong. As the days go by, he is still missing and everyone knows Jonah is right. Where is he? Read the book and find out! Jonah finds out that he CAN do some things right. My name is Jonah too!

could anyone be any slower?

Jonah is a forgetful, easily distracted dawdler who doesn't have any real friends yet although he is eight years old already. Because he acts this way out of his life being boring, no one takes him seriously and he gets treated like a baby. This year, things are going to be different because Jonah makes up his mind to forge a reputation for himself as "responsible". Throughout his struggles and adventures, sometimes it seems like it's just not worth it. But in the end, there is a brand new Jonah. My eight year old son Jonah was just like this. I could hardly believe there was a book about a person like this. This book showed him how things got better when someone tried. It's nice to learn from someone else's mistakes instead of suffering for your own.
