The book alien secret is a book that has suspense that builds up in the story and it also has mystery. This is a great book for anyone who likes to read. This book is also one of the greatest books that I have ever read. So if you like book full of mystery and suspense I highly recommend this one. My favorite part of the book is fantastic the way she makes you feel as if you are in the story or traveling in space. Puck is traveling in space by herself when she meets two women MZ.Florette and MZ.cubek and she started traveling with them to different planets. If you are wandering why she was alone and the first place was because her parents are on a space shuttle there and she is trying to see them because she is expelled from regular school. On board puck is friends with hush a native Shoowa who is also returning home in shame he was in susted with the soo, a symbol of freedom for his people, and now it has been stolen. Puck believes the soo is hidden somewhere on the ship. She and hush must find it before they reach Shoon. Where she will soon meet her parents on another planet. My favorite part was when puck first met MZ. Florette and MZ. Cubek and then they started talking about why puck got suspended and got sent to space. The setting of the story was outer space and a galaxy mood to help the reader understand how the characters feel about their situation. About every ones problems pucks problem is she got expelled hush lost the symbol of peace. ] Lance Mial

WooHoo!!!

This is one of the best books I've ever read. Heck, I'm 20 and I still marvel at Annette Curtis Klause's abilites as a writer. She is wonderful. I read this book when I was 12 years old and have never regretted it; no matter what age, if you have an imagination you'll love this novel. Children will be captivated by the wonderfully drawn characters and the rich scifi drama. If they ever make a movie or TV drama out of this, I'll hope it turns out half as good as the book.

Aliens, spaceships, ghosts; what will they think of next?

This is about a girl named Robin Goodfellow - a name she really doesn?t like (for people keep quoting Shakespeare to her), but she does like the nickname which goes along with it, Puck. Puck gets expelled from school (seventh grade, I think), and so then is going to go to the planet Shoon (as know by the natives) to be with her parents. On board, mysteries arise. Puck befriends a Shoowa, who is also going home in shame, but because he lost (it was stolen) a precious relic of his people. Puck decides to help Hush, and together, they must find out who stole the Soo, and where it is.

It's no secret...

I love each of Annette Curtis Klause's 3 books. My only complaint is that there are not more available! That said, I feel that Alien Secrets is an outstanding book. I agree, it is not as literary as Blood & Chocolate or the Silver Kiss. But that is not necessarily a bad thing. And this book is a lot of fun! While there is a good deal of mystery and suspense, it also manages to delve deeper and explore the motivations of the main character, Puck. I particularly like Klause's use of an alien to explore alienation, rather than the vampire or werewolf in her other books. And as in her other books, the main character (Puck) is growing up, finding herself, becoming self-reliant. It is a wonderful process to read, and a great book. Highly recommended.

WOW! Good book! Is there a sequal?

Good book! Puck has been expelled from boarding school and she's not sure her parents are going to be happy about that. But on the journey to Soowan where har parents are researching, she has the time of her life! While on the Cat's Cradle she befriends an alien Hush, who is going home to Shoowan, and he's in trouble! The most sacred item of his people has been stolen! And Hush thinks it is aboard the Cat's Cradle! Puck joins his search to find the Soo and deliver it back saftly to Shoowan! Puck had better be careful though, she might not come saftly herself!
