Hoping for her father's help when a ruthless competitor attemps to drive the Four Roses Mine out of business, Mary Alice Donnelly is furious when her father sends her a new partner, the dandified former marshall Travis Deal.
I found this book to be the most enjoyable yet, you really felt for Travis being stuck in his disguise and unable to portray the man he really is, Alice as always was her independant self but I liked the fact that she tried to find her feminine side for Travis to see, i can't wait for Teresa's story, please don't keep us in suspence for too much longer, i have a feeling that she is going to be the hardest Donnelly sister to catch but Teresa will also be the one who will fall the hardest as well, i recommend this series to anyone who likes seeing men having to work to get the woman they love

I have read the first three books in the series and would like to know if Ms. Carberry plans on writing Teresa's story. I would really like to read her story and find out how all the sisters turned out.
"Alice and the gunfighter" is a wonderful sequal.

I have read all of the Four Roses books and loved everyone of them. Alice's distrust of Travis and his frustration of being disguised as a dandy make for a very fun read. The romance is wonderful. I am and have been very impatiently waiting for Teresa's story. I hope it comes out soon!!! Please Ms. Carberry, dont leave us in agony for too much longer!!!!!
Definitely a page turner!

I really enjoyed this book. I liked how Ann incorporated Alice's sisters into the book. I enjoyed Travis' predicament in his disguise. I soon hope to read Maggie and the Gambler and Frannie and the Charmer, but I would like to know if there will be a book about the fourth sister. Keep up the great writing.
