First of all, I'm not quite sure if I'm reviewing the right book. As the usual picture of the cover is missing, I can only assume that the book I'm trying to review is the one I used last year. Mine was blue, with a picture of a skyscraper on the front--is it the right one? But anyway, onto my opinions--I thought this book was pretty thorough in all its explanations. Some parts were a little unclear, but the class itself was relatively enjoyable. (yes, I do have a fondness for math) We did not finish the entire book, only making it through chapter 12, ending with Pascal's Triangle and the Binomial Theorem. Our school, as I've been told, has been using this book for quite a few years and still has no intention of changing. This book does the best job of explaining logarithms in any math book I've ever seen. But then again, I've only browsed through 3 other math books, so my opinion is definitely not final. I'm glad that the class is over, however--now I'm in precalculus and learning the joys of having a graphing calculator!
