Fun word-play

This book is good for kids who are starting to learn about puns and fun with words. The story involves imaginary creatures such as "Kangarshoes" (kangaroos that like to steal people's shoes). I read it with my daughter, who is nine, and she had a blast trying to predict what the animals would be -- we even started making up some of our own imaginary animals afterwards.

Fun for the Young

In the tradition of "Where the Wild Things Are". this imaginative journey draws 4-7 year olds into its own unique "interactive" story right from the start when Albie meets the first of the many animals he tries to identify. The humor is contagious, and the parent who reads the story will get as much fun out of Albie's trip as the child who is read to. And not just once.
