Abu Hamid Muhammad al-Ghazali (1058-1111) q.A.s. was an Islamic theologian, jurist, philosopher, cosmologist, psychologist and mystic who remains one of the most celebrated, respected and beloved scholars and sufi masters in the history of Islam. Al-Ghazali shares in his masterpiece his deep knowledge of ALLAH s.t. as well as his infinite love for God's last messenger, Muhammad Habib'Ullah (s.A.s.). The author explores the meaning and resonance of each of the Divine Names, and reveals the function they perform in the universe and in our souls (if we shape ourselves accordingly). For that purpose al-Ghazali derives counsels from these Divine Names: unforgettable is for example the counsel derived from the Divine Name `Al-Basir' - The All-Seeing - in which al-Ghazali describes in a very sweet way the being of Jesus (peace be upon him) and of all creatures that are like him... In short: al-Ghazali's counsels derived from the Divine Names are destined to help us see the change we want to be.

These are the names for which I dwell upon. I used this book become closer to God. A must-read for those who wish to learn the art of meditation.
