Great Book

This book is funny yet so true. It gives a different, yet interesting look at aviation.

Air Travel Tales From The Flight Crew

Air Travel From The Flight Crew: The Plane Truth at 35,000 Feet is a mixed bag of humorous tales, travel tips, and the truth about what happens behind the scenes when we travel. The author has been a flight attendant for over 16 years and has definitely seen the best and worst of people and travel situations. He has travelled all over the world to many exotic locations, has had the chance to get to know lots of really nice people, and has played some interesting pranks on his fellow co-workers. He's also been vomited on, been the victim of food poison, and been endlessly hassled by angry passengers. Air Travel From The Flight Crew: The Plane Truth at 35,000 Feet is a great mixture of the good, the bad, the shocking, and the helpful. There are so many stories in this book that I just had to share with my family and friends, mostly the funny and the nasty experiences. Nonetheless, somewhere in the process, I also learned a lot of great travel tips. If you learn nothing else from this book, I'll guarantee that you'll be significantly nicer to the flight crew on your next vacation.

Wonderful and helpful

I rarely write these reviews but had to after reading it. This is a wonderful book, written with humor and style. It is a second edition as the author's first was published right before 9/11. So if it seems a lot like the first, read the foreward, it's supposed to. Out of all four of his books I liked The Plane Truth the best, and his latest one Flying High with A Frank Steward is now one of my travel essentials. Read it, you will not be sorry. I got mine used and then bought four more new for friends as gifts.

A fun-loving air travel tell all

I have been a loyal reader of Steward's (Wysong) column on tripso, and picked up two of his books as presents, which I had to read first of course. I liked them so much, that I kept them and bought more for gifts. What sets his writing apart is his way of telling a story in a fun loving and humorous manner, all the while, not offending. I wish there were more flight attendants like this one, as I always seem to fly with the ones who seem angry at the world. I like his dry sense of humor and the ability to laugh at the frustrations involved with air travel. I recommend buying it before a flight and following along as your journey progresses.
