Studying Talmud made easier

Carmel's book provides an easy to use guide to language in the Talmud. The charts and maps are great tools to help in understanding an ancient text.

Fantastic book for Talmud study

I thought it might be meant for real beginners, but NOT AT ALL. The vocabulary was very well selected and its a great help. Besides, due to its small size, you can take it anywhere along with your Gemara.

Good basic information

Good basic information for commonly used terms. But this is not a full dictionary. You also must have the Jastrow dictionary if you are trying to learn Talmud on the inside
