A Voice to the Noise comes from the space where I live mostly, my Mind.Our Mind is invisible yet the most vibrant wide-open space that exists. It's infinite and inexplicable, like the Universe. Yet, it fits within us. It's our own cosmos. It's our conscience and our consciousness. It shapes the contours of who we were, who we are and what will we become. It is a very busy space. It experiences, thinks, feels, emotes and talk's back. Mostly these talks are just noises. Random, unstructured and almost cacophonic. Yet, these are our noises, they wish to say something, they wish to make sense, they want us to hear them. These noises we cannot ignore, even if we wish to. The only way to live in harmony with them is to accept their existence, acknowledge them and give them an expression - a Voice.A Voice to the Noise is a collection born out of my attempts to give shape to the noises of my mind. Give them a structure, a dwelling space, a meaning.These attempts have been going on from the time I gained consciousness. Every noise that got a voice was being shaped and stored in my journals. While the mind got its voice, the voice rarely got an outlet.A Voice to the Noise is an outlet to that Voice. The first attempt to let others hear it and hence get a peep inside my mind.I am making this attempt, this effort, as I have realized that there are others like me. Those who dwell in their minds, explore the noises within, feel the need to structure them, express them. Fellow dwellers, who are willing to find the meaning of their noises, give them a shape, a Voice. A Voice to the Noise is for those fellow cohabitants. Fun book

I loved this book. It was an easy way to reinforce writing. It gave simple instructions and examples of sentence structure which encouraged my students to write and be creative. This is a straighforward approach to add practice and challenge to a reluctant writers curriculum.
