Book Overview

Norris describes himself as a shy youth who finally blossomed while studying martial arts as a soldier in South Korea. His self-deprecating humor shows through anecdotes about karate defeats, white-knuckled speaking engagements, and his failure to become a Los Angeles policeman, which led to his fame as a karate champion.

An inspiring must read for everyone .

A true story of a man growing up in an alcoholic and abusive family yet was able to achieve great success in martial arts, TV, movies and his personal life. While sharing his story Chuck reveals the secrets of how anyone can achieve success in a easy to read riveting story.

An honest look into the man CHUCK NORRIS

Although it has been a while since I read this, it was a great read I could relate easily to the way his story unfolds. Inspiring.

CHUCK NORRIS APPROVED

My son requested this book (bonus enough he ASKED for a BOOK!) :) for Christmas, & he was ecstatic to get it! He's really enjoyed reading it & says to please tell you it is an honor to read about a real life American hero in his own words, & is (he told me to capitalize this) CHUCK NORRIS APPROVED! WE LOVE CHUCK!!!

A good read

I bought this book for my wife for Christmas. She is a fan of Chuck. She finished the book in a matter of days and gave it to me to read. I'm glad I did. Learned tons of things I never knew about him. I would recommend this book even if you are not a big fan because it tells a good rags to riches story.

Very Inspiring

I gave this book to my adult son when he achieved his black belt in karate. He found it very inspiring and hard to put down! He has suggested that I read it which I will.

A good book for young boys/men

Alhtough Karate is not especially interesting to me, and I don't agree with all of Chuck Norris' views on politics, I found the book interesting and inspiring. His persistence and dedication to helping others and following God are moving. I think the episodes about the Karate competitions would hold more interest for Karate students and young men, but I was impressed with Chuck Norris' determination to learn from his failures to push on to doing better. There are important messages here that could help many young people.

A Surprise Hit !!!

Chuck Norris has been inside my head for 30 years. My wife and I met "Carlos" today at the book store and my wife received an autographed copy of this book. As a kid, I never thought I would have ever shaken his hand, but I did at 41. Any way's, his book is a good read and you won't be disappointed. Has some nice pictures in it as well.
