Not badly written but not as good as his plays. It's mostly true, however, and the young woman the above reviewer finds so unbelievable was in fact Audrey Hepburn, who went for older men who were courtly and passionate and talented. The affair took place during the screenplay-writing and production of "The Nun's Story" and according to AH biographer Donald Spoto the book is virtually a clinically accurate record of same. Spoto also writes that the only reason Hepburn didn't leave Mel Ferrer for Anderson was he couldn't have kids.
