Excellent story by one of the best storytellers in the "romantic suspense" genre

This is a great story that brings together two very different people (they have been observing/admiring one another from a distance). A catastrophe impacts the region of the USA where these two people live. The catastrophe reveals dangers for the residents that they have never contemplated . The lack of any preparation on the part of the great majority of residents is uncovered quickly as dangerous and sometimes violent behaviors start to surface. How the two lead characters cope with their personal situations makes for a great story. (And a little romance only makes it better!)

Suspenseful Romance

This book had it all; suspenseful thriller science fiction (not to far off current possibilities), with plenty of steamy romance and family relations.
