Great review of fluid mechanics and aerodynamics into the early 1980's

This is a fine overview summary of the complex and very diverse technical field of fluid mechanics and specifically for aerodynamics (fluid dynamics, meteorology, acoustics, numerical weather prediction, shock waves, reentry physics and chemistry around space vehicles, meteors and meteorites, aspects of bird and insect flight, planetary atmospheres, wind shelter designs for plant protection, etc.) which is quite thorough and still appropriate for activities that were in progress through the middle of the 1980's. Reading of this book would also be an excellent way for students who are struggling with their carrier choices to help decide within this overall field what could interest them the most in the future. The book is very descriptive, but at the same time is also very technical and displays information about solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations and numerous other famous equations in this overall research area. I heartily recommend it without any reservation whatsoever!
