Adventures of the Kim Thickets

Kim Pogey and Winky McGee are two, Western North Carolina mountain boys in their early, preteens. Growing up in the mid 1940's, the boys are too young to be drafted into the armed services while World War II is going on. Kim is a quick witted five foot, five inch blonde, tousled haired, individual with blue eyes and is fairly muscular. Winky is a tall, lanky, brown-haired, brown-eyed, five foot, nine, individual who is in a constant need of a haircut. He is also very superstitious. Winky gets his name after his grand-pop, "Winky McGee" Resources are hard to come by during this trying time in America's history. The boys must invent their own games and entertainment, of which lead them into all sorts of crazy, humorous, and sometimes serious, adventures. Winky is a dead shot with marbles. Kim likes to solve mysteries. However, their plots are always in danger of being revealed by Kim's big sister, Janeen.
