This is what Joyce found out when her husband Ed told her that he found a dog like he always wanted and that this dog had a sister, too. At first, she didn't think that this was a good idea. But later Joyce was glad that she didn't miss this opportunity cause ever since then the two dogs have been her "two tails". And she doesn't so much train her dogs but develops a relationship with them while having fun, communicating, traveling and enjoying her dogs. But she did state that it's better that your dog knows a least one command that is "stay" if you want to take a good picture, then photographing them becomes part of the training. And of course, the dogs want to please her so they like working for her. In this book Joyce has taken pictures of her two dogs, Bro and Tracy, with the background of National Monuments and Parks during their travels. Ed and Joyce drive about 40,000 miles a year throughout the southwest and her dogs usually come along. I throughly enjoyed reading and viewing the pictures, some of which are really unusual like Bro and Tracy up in the trees at Monument Valley, both dogs enjoying a visit to the Route 66 Diner and Bro sitting on Ed's horse, Dinch. Also, there are pictures that you haven't seen anywhere else since dogs usually are not allow outside your vehicles at national parks and monuments and must stay on a leash in most national and state parks. For this book, she had to apply and obtain special permission to take most of the pictures of her dogs with these beautiful scenic backdrops. Also, this book could be enjoyed by the young and old alike and everyone in between. The only requirement that you appreciate the scenic southwest and the special relationship that is represented here between Joyce and her partners in life Ed, Bro and Tracy.
