Understandable Exchange 2000 server

I purchased this book in the morning and by using its straightforward explanations, had managed to install and run a new mail server operation the same afternoon. It's not often that you come across a technical subject such as this which has been so well laid out and explained. Having previously purchased Microsofts Exchange 2000 Server Administrators Pocket Consultant and also SAMS teach Yourself Windows 2000 Server - both of which totally confused rather than helped, it was a delight to open this book and by following the numerous Walkthroughs - achieve what I wanted to do first time round. A very understandable way of writing which makes life a lot easier for the "non-techies" amongst us. David HunterManaging DirectorGlasgow Software Ltd.Scotland

Administering Exchange 2000 Server

Unfortunately I only have 1000 words to write a review on this, what I view as the best book on Administering Exchange Server 2000, that I have read. This book is very comprehensive and it is apparent that the author is a very Intelligent Exchange Administrator. He has the ability to take complex configurations and convery the meaning in a understandable fashion, with perfect spelling. The books approach is remarkableand when I was finished with the book I had confidence that I would be able to create a well secure Exchange Organization. I would reccomend this book above any other Exchange book and once you buy it youll understand why!

helpful for beginning exchange users

Easy to read - easy to understand There are SO many new concepts to Exchange 2000 - it can be a bit daunting. I also found an inaccuracy and wrote the author about it, who clarified it immediate. Impressed me a great deal that he stood behind his material. It also has nice practical walkthroughs, but they require three machines to set up the proper Exchange 2000 environment - which I recommend.

Highly Recommended

This book is one of the best books I have seen, it covers just about everything under the Exchange sun. It could have been even more technical for my taste but relatively speaking it is the best Exchange book I have read so far.

Best written book on MS Exchange Server 5.5

Lets face it, IT books aren't cheap, so selecting the right book that does not contain usless information is difficult now days. Among all the MS Exchange books on the market, Mitch Tulloch's Administering Exchange Server 5.5 is the most authorative, detailed, and well written. In it he covers in concise detail every asppect of MS Exchange. It does not contian usless information, nor a "irrelevant CD with software you can buy". Mitch is an MCT and MCSE, it is clearly evident that he is an istructor in his writing, still the information is concise enough for medium to advanced level administrators.I highly recommend this book over all others I have seen on the shelves. It will be the only Exchange book you will need.
