A Primer on "How to Think Like a Physicist"

I am a Physics Instructor in a community college, and use Activphysics 1 in my classes. It is an excellent workbook. Van Heuvelen leads students through the steps of problem solving by directly employing the physics concepts involved, pictorial and graphical representations, and only then finally translates the problem into mathematics. Emphasis is placed on conceptual understanding throughout the process. The potential buyer will need a basic understanding of Algebra and Trigonometry, and a good introductory physics textbook, such as those by Randall Knight.
