Clint dealt the first hand and won a small pot.

This episode takes place around the Carson City,Virginia City area near the California border.A wealthy Englishman has bought a large ranch,but his passion is gambling rather than ranching.He has decided to host big stakes poker game with six invited players ,each of whom must put up $100K ,making for a total jackpot of $600K.Rules are quite simple.Nobody knows who has been invited except the host.The person invited is permitted to have a proxy of his choice play for him ,if he wishes;but once the contest begins,there are to be no substitutions.The game is to continue until one person has won all the money. A banker has chosen Clint Adams,The Gunfighter,to be his proxy.Clint will win a big share of the winnings if he wins the contest;and even a good fee if he loses.Seems like a win-win situation either way for him. Everything is secret,including the location of the big game.One of the biggest questions to be answered ,is who will be there.Luke Short,Bat Masterson are possibilities,but only the start of the game will answer these questions. However;with this much money up for grabs;this story is mainly concerned with all the double dealings,double crosses,and all around skulldugery that takes place ;when uninvited crooks decide to hold up the game and abscond with all the money. The story moves quickly,has lots of action,some real interesting characters and is loaded with surprises ,and thankfully ,doesn't turn into a whodunit.
