This is a great reference; a quick and easy guide to shopping, restaurants and points of interest. I read the section on the Yucatan Peninsula to bits before my too short, one week holiday there, and that enabled me to veer off the very beaten track to some interesting local restaurants (no chains)and some very good shopping (outside of Cancun's malls). It also gave me the incentive and information I needed to take a number of day trips including my favorite, one on the regularly scheduled ferry to the beautiful Isla Mujeres. The many detailed maps were a great help. I've lent my well worn copy to many friends since and they have all found it to be an excellent holiday resource. Looking forward to a fifth edition.
