It's a good book if you just want to learn about computers..

I'm not taking the MCSE, but the book is really good and helped me understand just what's going on out there in cyberspace. I'm a computer dummy, but I understand a lot of what's here. And I'm going to read it again.
Excellent Resource

The book explains it just about as well as any I've read. I recommend it highly.

I've had a chance to look over several different Windows 98 books and this one gives a lot of information. It's focused and shorter, which makes reading it easier. I'd recommend it.
Great book

I liked reading about this book. I just retired and wanted to know more about what was on my computer. I started with Windows 98, which I used this book to understand. It was very helpful, easy to read, and in most cases, understandable. I consider that a big plus since I don't know a thing about computers.
Very easy to read and understand

After retiring, I decided to return to school. I quickly became interested in computers, the internet and networking. When I decided to pursue the MCSE, I turned first to this book, which I found exceptionally easy to read and understand. Mr. Neal is very gifted in clarifying subjects that other authors tend to leave as muddled as when they atempted to explain them. In this book, he tackles subjects with a vigor and resourcefulness that others tend to shy away from. I recommend it very much. I have also bought the other books in this series, including TCP/IP by Kinnaman and enjoyed it very much. Also, I just received a book Mr. Neal has co-authored, MCSE Study Tips for Dummies. What a great idea. It's been very helpful to me.
