The Fonteyn Legacy Surrogate is the individual appointed to represent the legacy of Dame Margot Fonteyn worldwide. Kenneth Ludden was appointed personally by Fonteyn in 1979 and spent the next 12 years until her death preparing him and forming the Academy that would carry that legacy.
