Hilarious!!

Ok the story about the matador had me on the floor laughing...this book was so much fun! Thank you Megan!!

An exquisitely fascinating book with first-rate comedy!

A Year of Blind Dates is a superbly amusing read, riddled with witty italic comments and hilarious circumstances but also deeply contemplative writing and pensive thought. Through her comical series of dates, Megan connects with the reader and explores the deeper aspects of finding a man who she is truly compatible with. The entertaining narrations of dates make an excellent backdrop for Megan's indefatigable search for "Mr. Right", and the motley assortment of male suitors provide outstanding comic-relief. However, it is the thoughtful ruminations that make this book more than just a collection of humorous date stories. Megan's unwavering morals and sanguine outlook kept me reading right up to the last word, and cheering for her the whole way. I highly recommend this book as a short but delightful read. If you're considering buying it, do it! You won't be disappointed.

Surprisingly great new book...very funny!

This book is so funny. The author is very witty and has a great perspective on all the `disasters' she meets. After every date I found myself rooting for Megan to find her `one', and yet thankful he wasn't the one she had just gone out on a date with! There have got to be some descent, Christian single men around! I hope we get a follow-up book with how God finally answered her prayer.

Such a great read!

"A Year of Blind Dates" was a great read! It was funny at times.... sad at times.... and extremely thoughtful. This book shows Megan's strength and optimisim, even when faced with dates that curse, are late, and don't call back. It was really engaging to be able to read about Megan's inner-dialogue. It was also refreshing that this book was so real... all women and men have non-negotiables, but often times they give up because they fear they will be alone. Megan follows her morals and listens to her heart. As I read this book I found myself rooting for her, praying that the next date would work.... but in the end, it's their loss....

Hilarious, hard to put down, and relatable!

I'm not finished with the whole book yet, but that's only because I'm forcing myself to put it down and ration my reading of it since I don't want to fly through it and have to bring the fun to an end. I highly recommend Megan's book. She writes in a way that lets you truly know her and commiserate with her through her dating experiences. Just one reason it's hard to put down is because you can't wait to get to the next chapter which is yet another hilarious chapter about yet another crazy/shocking/frustrating/funny/random blind date. This many blind dates could make someone jaded and cynical which would make their writing less than pleasant and enjoyable. But, Megan writes in a way that shows her vulnerable, honest, hopeful, funny and human side that leaves you just rooting for this endearing, brave, fun, confident author. Buy this for youself, your single girlfriends, your married girlfriends, your sister, your roommate.... It would make a fun and perfect Christmas gift, too.
