excellent illustrations appeal to toddler and parent alike

Ashley Wolff's illustrations are appealing to both kids andadults. We enjoy her books a lot in our house. This one is betterfor toddlers. It lacks a strong story, instead showing a year of animals found around the house and countryside where a family lives and plays. It's nice to see the change of seasons and the family interacting--and the baby getting older.
