Thi is a book of Marks's columns mostly about her everyday life. I found them columns I could identify with, and enjoyed reading her book.
I loved this book without qualification. Read it now.

Marlene's columns, beautifully written and powerfully presented, will touch the heart and soul of every reader. Each column is a story, one the reader can identify with and adopt in many ways as her own. The feelings of loss and love, growth and redemption jump off the page and into the reader's own consciousness. No one who reads this collection will feel like Marlene is a stranger, but rather that she is a dear friend who has the gift of putting deeply felt emotions into words each one of us can not only understand but identify with in a uniquely personal way. I have purchased mutliple copies of "A Woman's Voice" to give to each of my close friends. It is the best present I can think of for the people I love. Their lives, like mine, will be enriched by this wonderful book.

A deep spirituality shines through this book. I sincerely hope that many people read it. A Woman's Voice made this husband and father greatly appreciate my family's journey without the loss this author survives. Ms. Adler made me realize that it takes guts, compassion, wisdom and soul to continue the journey. Anger is an obtacle. It made me wonder if I have the same courage to go on. This book speaks from the heart of a gifted artist who has honed her craft. Buy it. Read it. Share it with friends and relatives.
Pleasant, thoughtful reading

A Woman's Voice is a collection of wonderfully sensitive insights into the world of a single working Mom struggling to be strong, wise, and productive in order to make a family for herself and her daughter. The book is honest, intimate and sentimental about the best things in life.
