A Woman Scorned: The Shocking Real-Life Case of Billionairess Killer Susan Cummings

Rich, beautiful, deadly... Billionairess Susan Cummings was very rich, even by the exalted standards of Virginia horse country. Shy and single, she used just two rooms of her huge mansion and slept with a .357 Magnum under her pillow. Some people called her haughty. Worst writing I have ever encountered.

The writing is a torture to read. This woman puts all these details in every sentence. It's difficult to know what is going on. I decided to skim and go for the dialogue. I will never read a book by Lisa Pulitzer after this.

incredible story

A Woman Scorned is an incredible example of how money and power really can buy justice. It is unfortunate that the jury in the case did not pay close attention to the evidence presented by the young prosecutor, and the police witnesses who did a fine job of investigating the case. I especially liked Sherriff Higgs and his team of investigators. They seemed like real people, doing an important job. All in all, I enjoyed reading the book. The story was presented in a dramatic and interesting fashion, and gave insight into the quiet, rural towns of Virginia horse country and the people who enjoy life there.

A shocking page-turner...so many twists and turns!

I cannot put this book down. Lisa Pulitzer knows how to grab readers and reign them in! What a wild ride! "A Woman Scorned" not only provides insight into the deadly relationship between Susan Cummings and Roberto Villegas, but it also provides the reader with a glimpse of the ultra-exclusive area of Virginia horse country.

A page turner!

Interesting story. Author does a good job of creating suspense. Very descriptive. Makes you feel as though you are there. The section on Susan's father is very interesting. Well worth the six dollars..
